i've said it before, i'll say it again.  i love hambo stamps.  they come up with some of the funniest things!!  i thought this was hilarious!  so i used it for my digi stamp atc swap.  i tried to make the ice look like ice with some glossy accents.

squirrel...

so i saw the cutest card at a stamp store in nc.  (i know...i was there in like june...) and i took a picture of this cute card because i loved it and thought it would make a cute set of atcs.  in fact, i bought the stamps, just so i could make them and posted a swap with the theme of woodland creatures.  wouldn't you know it?  i couldn't find that picture anywhere.  but i did make a half decent set of atcs anyway.  i just love the little set of logs!!

in the meadow...

we can build a snowman...or not.  since it isn't snowing.  but a group of us whipped out a circle journal of a different kind.  instead of circling, everyone sent me their pages and i swapped them out.  which saved about 5 months time and who knows how much postage.  at first i wasn't thrilled with the idea...i liked getting each individual journal in my hands and trying to decide what i wanted to create.  with this swap, i made my design, then just repeated it seven more times.  i love how it turned out.  and i love that i wasn't stressing about getting a journal in the mail every three weeks.  only problem now is i need to make the actual journal part!  so i can put all the awesome snowman pages in.  when i do, i'll post pictures of the finished project.

kick back part two...

i posted some atcs the other day with an old lady hanging out on an inner tube.  i just love her.  and i know i'm going to miss summer soon.  so i made a few cards inspired by the atc.  inside reads "kick back".  i know they will come in handy during the long cold days that will soon be here.  yuck.

kick back...

i love swapping cards and atcs.  so much, that i think it might be an illness.  i'm so hopelessly addicted.  atcs especially!  my current swap list is long.  and every time i think about cutting back and not doing so many, someone (usually chris, suzi or sherri) will throw out a bunch of new swaps and i cave.  occasionally there are little bumps in the road of swaps.  like one (or several) i'm hosting now.  someone doesn't follow through for whatever reason.  and it leaves a hole.  so i had to whip up another set of atcs for my "hangin' by the pool" swap.  i got this digi stamp a while ago and loved it, so i figured it would be useful here.  i think it turned out ok!  and now everyone will have a full set of atcs.

use a lift...

i'm loving digi stamps.  they are so fun and easy to work with.  resizing is a cool option that you don't get with rubber or cling stamps.  sometimes it comes in handy.  i made a couple of these cards to have "in case" someone needs cheering up a bit.  inside says "thought you could use a lift".  i love hambo stamps!  they crack me up!

happy new baby...

i originally titled this post "new baby" but then i thought people may get the wrong idea about that!  so i had to change it and add "happy"!  another card in the cas collection!  i love the simplicity of this card.  and i adore the little animal stamp.  so cute!!  so it's friday and once again, friends with flair.  how i love fwf!  visit the other fwf peeps and see what they made starting back here.

workin'...

summer is gone and fall is going soon.  not much time left for hanging by the pool.  which is the theme for this set of atcs for the swap i'm hosting.  i found this awesome stamp at the stamp convention in north carolina this summer.  i had to have it.  and then i had to immediately post a swap so i could use it!!  love it!  i also got the sentiment at the same convention.  it's just as sarcastic as me!

fall pumpkin...

i've said it before, i'll say it again.  who is speeding up time?  i swear only last week it was june!  and now it's almost the middle of september?  sheesh!  so for this weeks h{ippity} hop, i decided to use a fall-ish theme.  i also needed to make some pumpkin atcs for a swap my friend sherri is hosting.  i realized this is also all about embossing!  i made the background with a cuttlebug embossing folder, then used some nesties to cute out the label shape, then heat embossed the pumpkin!! sweet!
h{ippity} hop on over to the {ippity} blog and see what the other crafties have made.  happy monday, everyone!

more card sets...

i posted a margarita card the other day and mentioned that they are part of a set i created to sell.  here are the other cards in the set.  there are four cards total, each with a different sentiment.  i created the colored background by using a piece of cardstock that i cut out with a nestabilities to make a template.  then i sponged the different colors on each card.  i love the effect it made.

fintastic...

happy labor day! i hate that since it's labor day it means that summer is almost over. where did it go?? it's also monday, so that means h{ippity} hop time!! i love these little fishies. and they are so cute swimming in a big group. so tried my hand at masking. i discovered a super easy way to mask. post it notes. they are easy to cut and don't stick to your paper. plus, you can cut two at a time!! easy peasy. have a great day and go visit the other {ippity} chickies.

happy fall...

ahhh...fall is in the air.  the mornings and evenings are getting cooler.  the sun is rising later.  i love fall.  if i could only have two seasons, i'd take spring and fall.  summer, eh.  winter...forget it!  so for now i'll enjoy the not so hot days and the smell of fall.  this is another 'reject' that i made.  i {love} how it turned out.  i actually paper pieced the pumpkin and dress.  played with another digi stamp, too.  good times!

tgif...

it's friday!!  sometimes friday doesn't necessarily mean it's the weekend for me, since i work in a 24/7 environment!  so today, friday really means wednesday, kind of...since i work today and tomorrow.  but what friday does mean is friends with flair time!!  love that!!  no matter if i'm working or not!  i made a card that i fall in a little more in love with every time i look at it.  funny, because it's really a simple card, but i think it's so cute!  apparently, a little magazine did not think it was cute enough for them.  maybe not paper pieced enough? to simple?  whatever.  i'm over it.  and the bonus is you all get to see it now!  i love these little trees and i love the saying.  thank you unity!!
