who doesn't love a good party?  one week ago, a bunch of my crafties were having a good old party.  i can't believe how fast it came and went.  kind of like this week.   i made this card using one of the unity stamp of the week stamps, {balloons to...you}.  i love getting a little rubbery love in the mail each week!!  so let's get on to friends with flair.  check out the unity blog for the rest of the peeps in fwf.  and comment, too, because you could win some rubbery goodness for yourself!

i'm loving challenges lately. i think it helps me get the creative juices flowing when i try and make a card from a sketch, but i don't want to make it exactly like the sketch.  i made this card for the unity kit of the month sketch challenge (which looks just like the sketch!).  i used the january kotm.  such a fun kit with so many options!!  i'm dying to get that little house inky!!  this card is another valentine-lovey card.  i think i've also made more valentiney cards this year than ever in my life!

oh i think i may have found a new love. it's early still, but i am so loving this mixed media thing. who would have thought paint, stamps and embellies would make me so happy?? i even made this whole thing with several shades pink, for crying out loud, and loved it!!

i found a bargain dictionary to destroy (feels kind of bad, but makes things so cute!) and a cool french book.  i used a french page for this one.  hopefully it says nothing weird! i took some muslin, ripped a strip off and sparyed it with glimmer mist.  love how it turned out.

a big happy 65th birthday

it's a h{ippity} hop in a brand new year!! welcome to 2011. i can't believe it!! but here it is. i hope that this year goes by at less of a frantic pace than twenty-ten did. i can't even remember half of it!! but i'm glad you are here, h{ippity} hoppin'! a lot of people i know are choosing a word to live by for twenty eleven. i am in a way, but not a serious as some. my word is reduce. there are so many aspects of my life that i can reduce things in...for crafting, it's going to mean a few things.  reduce the supplies i have by actually using them!  and reduce the amount i'm going to spend on new supplies, simply because of the amount i have!  reduce is a great word for other parts of my life, too. but more on that later.  be sure to visit the {ippity} blog to see the other great creations on the hop  and the new and exciting things that are in store for this year from {ippity}!!

that's what has been going on all over the world.  halls are being decked, presents are being wrapped.  i can't believe christmas is saturday!  ho ho ho!!  i had a flurry of crafting to get done before the big day (i've been a little slackish on getting my swaps out quickly!)  this is for sherri's "it's a wreath" atc swap.

this weekend went by in the blink of an eye. it was a great weekend with a lot of just hanging out with my husband and a night out with some friends stamping. it's monday and that means a new week. and it means it's time for another h{ippity} hop! this week i used the kissmas & mistletoe set again. i love it!! used some echo park paper scraps that i had left over from a project i'll be posting soon. hop on through to the rest of the h{ippity} hop and have a great monday. if you are having weather like we are (remember that blizzard hype from last week?? well it should have been this weekend. it's snowed a ton today and just keeps going!) then be safe.

i've said it before, i'll say it again.  i love hambo stamps.  they come up with some of the funniest things!!  i thought this was hilarious!  so i used it for my digi stamp atc swap.  i tried to make the ice look like ice with some glossy accents.
