life...

this is another page from my art journal. i'm sad i haven't done anything in it for two weeks. but making a new entry is on my list for this week. i can't wait!!  i had fun with this page.  i knew i wanted to use this stamp and i had some left over hearts from the last page i made that i wanted to use them like rain drops.  so i created an umbrella!

wishes...

oh i think i may have found a new love. it's early still, but i am so loving this mixed media thing. who would have thought paint, stamps and embellies would make me so happy?? i even made this whole thing with several shades pink, for crying out loud, and loved it!!

i found a bargain dictionary to destroy (feels kind of bad, but makes things so cute!) and a cool french book.  i used a french page for this one.  hopefully it says nothing weird! i took some muslin, ripped a strip off and sparyed it with glimmer mist.  love how it turned out.

wow...this is a love-filled post...sorry about that!

song bird...

suzi is hosting a swap that i wasn't going to join. it was an atc swap using tape on it somewhere. no, adhesive on the back didn't count! i started seeing some things made with some really cool paper tape and i decided to join. i bought some 7 gypsies paper tape and wasn't thrilled with the patterns, but it was all i could find. i was looking at some of suzi's cool tim holtz/stampers anonymous stamps last weekend and thought they were not my style. then i starting thinking of this swap and all the sudden, the stamps jumped out at me. the bird matched the tape so well! the stamps may not be my style, but i made them work and now i want some!  i also bought a tool i've wanted for so long and never got.  the tiny attacher from tim hotlz (i promise this isn't just one big tim holtz ad!).  it has the cutest little tiny staples!

huh?

do you ever see some stamps and just have to have them?  that's what i did when i saw this one.  i love it!!  it's from elzybells, who i don't think is making stamps anymore.  but i do love it.  this set of atcs is for a snowman swap that christie is hosting.  i just love the way the little bird and deer are looking at each other!  i don't know if you can tell from this dark picture, but the snowmen and ground are covered in tinsel glitter.   gives it a little sparkle.

gnome boy...

my friend joanie hosted an atc gnome swap a while back. i loved them! all of the gnome atcs were so cute. i had to borrow some gnomes for that swap because i didn't have any. then i decided to host one myself. i found a cute gnome digi stamp from hambo stamps that i was going to use. then, last weekend in nc, i found this cutest stamp that i thought looked like a gnome. so i used him instead. turns out others thought the same thing because i think three of us used the same stamp without even knowing the others had the stamp. they all turned out so cute and different!
