coasters...

so what was hyped the "blizzard of 2010" was mostly a lot of hype.  which was probably not a bad thing because it got people home early and off the roads for the most part.  i guess it had the potential to be horrible, but turned out not so bad in some areas.  some bad wind and snow for a few hours and now it's just freezing cold!  so here are some more christmasy coasters to get you in the christmas spirit if it isn't freezing or snowing in your neck of the woods!

peace (part 2)...

good morning!!  over the weekend it turned into winter.  it snowed probably at least 6 inches saturday night and over a foot in some areas.  so i'm happy to stay home and enjoy the h{ippity} hop today!!  the guys over at unity are hilarious and made a video demonstrating how to make some coasters.  i thought it would make a cute gift for people, so i headed to lowe's on saturday (a place i never thought about buying craft supplies!) and experimented.  i think it turned out pretty cute!  i have a few more, that i'll share tomorrow, but wanted to only show the one i made with {ippity} stamps for the hop.  check out the rest of the h{ippity} hop and have a good week..for most people it will be a short week!

birthday tags

i made some birthday tags, at the request of my cousin brandy. it was kind of a challenge for me, because she needed tags mostly for boys. i haven't really made many things for boys, so it was hard. but this is what i came up with. i really love the owl one!

i'm hosting a swap over at the shack (i know, shocker!) that is an altered rolodex card swap. the them is 2009. 12 participants each took a month and we made 12 arcs of our month. after they are swapped out, we'll each have a complete year. i can't wait till everyone gets them back. it was a great project!! this is my month. i love the little owl!!!

baby quilts...

so i spent the afternoon today at my cute mom's house. we had a few baby quilts to make for some new little ones (one is for our nephew ben who will be in school by the time we get it to him!!!) this is the one we made for ben and one my mom made to have on hand. we also made two others, for jami and mandy, but i can't post them because it has to be a surprise!!!
