kiss it...

the blarney stone, that is!!  as long as i can remember, i've always wanted to go to ireland.  my grandfather was born in donegal, so i thought it would be neat to see where he grew up.  about 15 years ago (i can't believe it's been that long!) me and my friend went to europe.  we spent a week in london, a week in darby, england and a week in ireland.  although i didn't get to go to donegal, i did go visit blarney castle.  somewhere i have a picture of me kissing the blarney stone (can't seem to find it at the moment).  it's crazy because you have to hang upside down and have someone hold you in order to kiss it.  and you are at the top of the castle!!

so for the mixed media monday february creative dare that tracy weinzapfel  threw down, i knew i wanted to do my page on somewhere i went on my trip.  the theme of the dare is dreams/something from your bucket list.  kissing the blarney stone was definitely something i wanted to do before i died.  it was such a cool experience!

woyww....

woyww what??? i know, the first time i saw the acronym, i thought "what the cuss?" what it means is 'what's on your workdesk wednesday'. julia from stamping ground has been doing this thing each wednesday where she shows a picture of her desk each week. i thought it was kind of a fun idea. see how much it changes. or in my case, see how much it needs to be tidied up!!

love in an instant...

i never make baby cards.  which is funny, because i know a bunch of pregnant people at the moment!!  so i decided it was time to get one or two done.  i made this for my cute friend, ashely.  she is letting the baby's gender be a surprise, so i tried to keep it neutral.  (actually i used both blue and pink too!)  i wouldn't have thought the photo frame would be "baby card-ish" but then i saw the sentiment and thought it was totally fitting.  because you usually do have love in an instant with a babe!!

filled with love...

and we'll just stick with a somewhat valentine's theme for today! i made these atcs for a pink and purple swap. i wanted to color in the jars, but didn't know what ink to use. so i used white paint. i love how it gives them a sorta chalkboardy look.

also it's friends with flair day, which i haven't played along with in a while.  so visit the new unity blog and see what the other unity peeps have created.  and while your at it, take advantage of the HUGE sale unity is having.  all weekend long!!
