what's up...

i adore this bicycle stamp. and i just can't call it a bike. it's too classy for the name bike. must be bicycle. i know, i'm weird.  but i do love the way this set of atcs turned out.  it's for suzi's pink and lime green swap.  i'd love to just float away on a bicycle sometime.  don't forget that it's friday, so it's  friends with flair.  play along here for your chance to win some fun stamps.

welcome spring...

welcome spring.  i would love to do just that.  but it continues to be sucky weather here.  hasn't snowed in a week (in the valley) but it has been cold and rainy.  i have seen tiny glimpses of spring...little tulips peeking up from the ground, buds on the trees.  hopefully it is really just around the corner this time.

eta:  i take it back about the snow...it's currently snowing!!  WHERE IS SPRING???

do you love when you remember a cool thing you've done before but forgot about? that's what happened when i saw the unity tv episode on magic embossing. i've done this technique before, but kinda forgot about it! so when i had to make a card for the h{ippity} hop, i figured i would give it a shot. and i love how it turned out!  i'm so in love with wild honey, broken china and peeled paint distress ink.  go check out the rest of the creations in this week's h{ippity} hop!

friends are...

the beauty of stamping and making your own things is you can mix and match stamps to your liking.  i love this pair of socks from unity.  and i love this sentiment from unity.  they aren't from the same set.  but i love how they work together!  last weekend (yes, i'm still sad that it went by so quickly!) at palooza, i made this set of atcs.  and as i looked around the room, i thought the saying couldn't be more true.  friends really are the best.  and speaking of friends, it's friends with flair friday!!  go play along on the unity blog and don't forget there are prizes to be won!

song bird...

suzi is hosting a swap that i wasn't going to join. it was an atc swap using tape on it somewhere. no, adhesive on the back didn't count! i started seeing some things made with some really cool paper tape and i decided to join. i bought some 7 gypsies paper tape and wasn't thrilled with the patterns, but it was all i could find. i was looking at some of suzi's cool tim holtz/stampers anonymous stamps last weekend and thought they were not my style. then i starting thinking of this swap and all the sudden, the stamps jumped out at me. the bird matched the tape so well! the stamps may not be my style, but i made them work and now i want some!  i also bought a tool i've wanted for so long and never got.  the tiny attacher from tim hotlz (i promise this isn't just one big tim holtz ad!).  it has the cutest little tiny staples!

anything but...

i swear, if there is a class in procrastination, i'd get an a+!  what does that have to do with h{ippty} hop monday?  i should have been writing my paper last night but instead found myself in my craft room making a card so i could play along with the hop!!  i've got a case of "senior-itis" so bad!!  but in 8 days it will all be over  and i can spend as much time in my craft room (guilt free!) as i want!! have a good monday and go check out the rest of the h{ippity} hop!

happy day swing...

if only i could find a tree like this today...it snowed like 5 inches overnight!  when i saw this tree with the cute little swing a while ago and fell in love with it so when amuse had their 50% off sale i had to get it!!  probably got too much, but oh well. another simple card that i think is adorable.  (that sounds kind of conceited...not meant to be!)  have i mentioned that one of my favorite new colors is peeled paint distress ink by tim holtz?  i don't think it's new, but i just got it so it's new to me.  it's such a cool shade!!

hello dear friend...

happy april fool's!!  no jokes from me...boring i know.  but wow.  how long has it been since i've done friends with flair on friday??  feels like forever, when it's probably only been a few weeks!!  whatever...i'm glad to have you visit today!!  i made this card last night.  it just sort of came to me.  i had some scraps sitting on my mess of a table (it's so embarrassing how big of a mess...) and i have been wanting to use the stamps from the set could i be any cuter  for a while (one of those i got at christmas with my mega order!).  so i put the two together and voila!   and i added buttons!!  oh how i love them but don't use them enough!!   now go enjoy the rest of the fwf crafty goodness and have a great friday!!
