happy bird-day...

happy may day!! if only it meant that soon there would be birds chirping from the trees and warm sunshine instead of this snow bs...  i made a card a while ago (clickie here) that i liked so much, i wanted to make more of.  so i made some birthday cards with the same design.  i just love the bird!!  and the cards are super simple.

mr eggster...

i made a bunch of cards this weekend while at palooza along with 5 sets of atcs.  this is an easter card that i needed to be boyish.  i love the little egg!!  the stamp is a digi image from just some lines.  isn't that a great name??

happy...

so i'm in this swap...i know, shocker.  oh wait...let me continue.  so i'm in this swap and the theme was 5 fonts.  meaning we had to use 5 different fonts somewhere on the atc.  hopefully what i made will qualify.  i don't know if we needed to spell one word with 5 different fonts, but i used 5 different fonts that said "happy."  the thing i love about swapping is making friends all over the world.  kirsty is hosting this swap and she lives in south australia.  only bad part about that is you have to plan ahead!  i've had the post office (not sure which one...) lose two sets of swaps to her.  hopefully this one makes it safe and sound!

hedgie love...

a few months ago, while stamping with my friends at 'palooza, chelsea showed us this stamp of two hedgehogs.  one was giving the other a flower.  the proofers of this stamp didn't notice the unfortunate petal placement of the flower!  so we spent one of the day making up sayings that could go with this stamp.  of course we had to have a swap.  so this is what i made for hedgie love!!

so this is love

trivets...

a few weeks ago, i posted some coasters that i made from tile. i sold a few to a friend from work. she was asking if i made any that were bigger, that could be used as a trivet (you know the things you put pots or hot dishes from the oven on to protect the counter/table). i hadn't thought about it, but told her i probably could. she wanted some to give as gifts and asked if i could make them with dogs on them. so...after borrowing a few dog stamps from chelsea and suzi, this is what i came up with. i made a total of 8, but these are my favorite ones.

(ps i love him...i've named him winston)

look! an actual card...

it's the first card i've made that i simply stamped on the card and didn't use any layers. i just love the little guy floating in the tube!! he is from eat cake graphics and the bubbles are maryse carrier. i even tried the cloud making technique using a scalloped edge. it looks more realistic in real life! inside says "wishing you a sunshiney day!"
