brrr...

friday.  love fridays.  who doesn't?  maybe someone who starts their work week today.  either way, it's time for friends with flair.  for this week, i made a set of atcs.   my list of swaps that i'm participating in is dwindling.  i think after this, i only have two left.  ack!!  i love penguins, so i couldn't resist joining cindi's penguin swap!  and this set was perfect! my friend, chris, gave us some of this cool stuff that can be used for snow.  i added some to the ice. be sure and check out the other projects for fwf this week starting at the unity blog.  happy friday!

feel better...

let me tell you a little tale...a few months ago, i went on a little stamp binge. i'm not ashamed...i'm addicted. thanks, unity, for helping me out with this (although my bank account would not agree!). i bought the cutest set (see here) that i had grand plans of making many cards with. over the past few weeks, i've had a bunch of friends who have been hit with the flu or some horrible cold...all of whom would have loved getting a little get well card to boost their spirits. but i'm a slacker card sender. so they will have to accept this e-card from me!!

hello...

remember a few posts back, the atcs i made using echo park paper?  well, suzi is hosting three swaps that all feature a specific brand of paper.  and i love all three brands, so of course i had to join all three.  this set of atcs i made uses paper from october afternoon.  when i started making these, i had a different plan in mind.  the paper i used is double sided.  when i dropped one of the base pieces and it landed with the gingham side up, i loved it and went a completely different direction!  and this is what i ended up with.  i have had this tiny tag punch forever and never could figure out how to use it.  it worked perfect for these atcs!!

happy birthday cake...

who doesn't love birthday cake?  what's your favorite kind of cake?  mine is a rum cake (minus the pineapple...which causes great debate in my family!) that this little bakery in salt lake makes.  it is about the best cake in the whole world.  so what that my cake tasting is limited to those in the state of utah, pretty much!  the frosting is to die for!  here's a little birthday card i made after i finally broke into some of the cute bella blvd stamps from unity that i got for christmas.  it's a great set!!

wow...talk about an english major's nightmare of a post!!
