happy wishes...

there's a new craze going on right now.  [washi tape]  it's a thin paper tape that comes in a variety of colors and patterns and is great for paper crafts like card making and scrapbooking.  it can be used on virtually any crafting project.  and now you can make your own washi tape pretty easily!  so i tried it out and made some for this card.  i stamped the snowflakes in chalk ink and then stamped the sentiment right on the washi tape after i put it on my card.  totally fun to use!

happy wishes

cardstock: soft sky
ink: blue chalk, onyx black
embellishments:  prismacolor markers, washi tape

and ps...it's friday!  so friends with flair time.  go see what the other unity/ippity crafties are up to!

thinking of you...

i needed a thinking of you card and  wanted to make a simple one.  this one was both!!  took not long to make and used my new stamps in the process!  used the direct to paper technique with the ink.  love that.  a friend had surgery so i wanted to send a card.  of course i wanted the cards to continue so that's why i'm sending it a week later!  *wink*

don't forget to comment on the the next post for a chance to win {ippity} stamps!  and if you are visiting my new {ippity} shug facebook page, don't forget to leave a comment there, too!!

feel better...

let me tell you a little tale...a few months ago, i went on a little stamp binge. i'm not ashamed...i'm addicted. thanks, unity, for helping me out with this (although my bank account would not agree!). i bought the cutest set (see here) that i had grand plans of making many cards with. over the past few weeks, i've had a bunch of friends who have been hit with the flu or some horrible cold...all of whom would have loved getting a little get well card to boost their spirits. but i'm a slacker card sender. so they will have to accept this e-card from me!!
