happy fall...

news flash.  this weekend went by faster than i could say h{ippity} hop!  so here we are with the hop on monday again!  i made a fall card since it is october.  we had weather like summer on saturday (broke a new high with 88!) so it doesn't exactly feel like fall, but probably will this week with all the rain we are supposed to have.  used some nesties and an embossing folder for this card.  h{ippity} hop on to the rest of the projects starting at the {ippity} blog!

happy halloween...

pinked up my blog for octber!  do you like?  now, three words...friends with flair. and two more...it's friday! woot woot! if all goes well, i'm at work today. which seems like a silly thing to be happy about, but we've been a little slow lately (yea for the kids!) so i don't think i've worked my full three shifts in weeks! so i'll be glad if i am working! but back to fwf...i absolutely love love love the september kit of the month from untiy. i used two stamps from it on this card. i love that this crow can be halloweenie or not.  i distressed the edges of everything to give it a little grunge look.  i thought it looked cool!  go visit the other fwf blogs by starting here.  and if you live in the area and are bored tomorrow, come grab a paint brush with me to stain my deck!!

ps happy birthday to my shackie sis, suzi!

fall pumpkin...

i've said it before, i'll say it again.  who is speeding up time?  i swear only last week it was june!  and now it's almost the middle of september?  sheesh!  so for this weeks h{ippity} hop, i decided to use a fall-ish theme.  i also needed to make some pumpkin atcs for a swap my friend sherri is hosting.  i realized this is also all about embossing!  i made the background with a cuttlebug embossing folder, then used some nesties to cute out the label shape, then heat embossed the pumpkin!! sweet!
h{ippity} hop on over to the {ippity} blog and see what the other crafties have made.  happy monday, everyone!

i'm too sexy...

sherri is hosting the best themed swap of the year. it's a sexy squirrel swap. and i know this stamp is a little creepy rather than sexy, but i used it anyway!! i embellished the crap out of these. a little fun flock here. a little distressed stickles there. some glossy accents and a brad. sheesh!

pumpkins for sale...

managed to sneak in a little crafting while i'm on vacation. what more could you ask for...crafts, the beach, fancy digs, and free wireless access!! here is one of the three pumpkin themed swaps i'm in. this is for chris's swap. i used some of tim holtz's (i don't see what the hub bub is all about!) distressed stickles. i'm not sure i like them, but they look ok on these!

fall...

again...joined a swap (stinky's hosting this one) thinking i had all the right stamps for what i wanted to make but reallly didn't!! of course, i sat on this one for a while because i couldn't think of anything good for a fall theme. i had a cute scarecrow, but are they really fallish? then while organizing my stamps the other day (which i'm not close to being done with!), i found this little set of trees. so i figured i could make it work! i got a new alphabet set from kim hughes and cornish heritage farms the other day (love 40% off!) which i absolutely love. so i thought it would look cute on this! i also used those in colors again. love them!
