Hey Angie. I love reading about everyone's favorite movies. I'm laughing because I was a Rescuers junkie too: movie, book, record and all. I also loved The Great Muppet Caper, The Wiz, and the Parent Trap. Sorry I missed the fun last night. I've been obsessing over my new piano book.

Great movies listed! And I have to agree with you on the Bambi thing - I cried when Bambi's mother died and my cousins made fun of me for crying at a movie! This scarred me for life and now I don't cry at movies (unless I'm home alone and then I literally blubber!!) Oh, the trauma!

I adore classics. I just ordered season 1-4 of Gilligan's Island & season 1-3 of I dream of Jeannie. Big fan of Disney films. They are light and make you feel good.

My problem with Bambi and a lot of the other Disney movies is the loss of a parent thing. As adults, we understand how this sets up character development and the storyline, but to kids it can be very upsetting and leave a sense of insecurity. These movies always make me feel a little uncomfortable.
