city of love...

so i stepped out of my comfort zone a little and signed up for a swap that i really had no idea how to do.  i guess there is a kind of stamps called stampscapes and you create little scenes with them.  well, i didn't exactly have any, so i asked lori (the hostess of the swap) if i could just make a little scene.  i think you are supposed to use a brayer and different colors of ink to blend the background together, so i played around with that, too.  here's what came out of my little experiement.  it was kinda fun, although i'm not great with the brayer.  i'm having a hard time with it being only one layer, but i'll live with it!!

city of love
stamps:  unity
cardstock: glossy white
ink: onyx black, broken china distress, soft sky, baja breeze, blue bayou
tools: brayer

plus it's friday, so that means friends with flair!  remember you have a chance to win a bag of nifty stamps from unity so go check out the blog and play along (i remembered the link this week)!!

and if you are ruby, remember to see this post

and while i'm at it, check the new peek of {ippity} that is coming here...and go play in the {ippity} challenge here!

ok, i'm done.

just kidding...i decided to add this to the all things unity challenge #40 (thanks stampincathy!) which you have to make a one layer card.  you can play along too...visit the atu blog!

ok...now i'm done!

I think your card looks amazing! Very cute and I am sure those in the swap will love it. I am not too good with the brayer either! But I love going to this blog for brayer inspiration: http://zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/

This stamp is one of my faves, and I love how you brayered it instead of stamping on solid cardstock. Very cool look! Good luck with the Hambo, too :)
