cupcakes...

the other day, i spent the day/night with my cute mom while she was house sitting up in the mountains! sort of a girl's night out, i guess.  it was nice to get away, breathe some clean air, soak up some sunshine and hang out with my cute mom.  we did a little crafting as we watched movies.  i made a set of little gift cards (that are 3x3-i love making that size!) for a friend from work.  cute and simple.  i seem to be about that lately!!

i need to make more thank you cards.  you can't say thanks enough, right?  here's one i made and yes, it is a copy of another card i made a few weeks ago that i absolutely loved. the one found here.  it's the card on a card type, with a flat card base and the white center section lifts up with a place to write a message.

hedgie love...

a few months ago, while stamping with my friends at 'palooza, chelsea showed us this stamp of two hedgehogs.  one was giving the other a flower.  the proofers of this stamp didn't notice the unfortunate petal placement of the flower!  so we spent one of the day making up sayings that could go with this stamp.  of course we had to have a swap.  so this is what i made for hedgie love!!

i got this stamp from sprinkle & sparkle a long time ago.  and never used it.  that is the story of half of my stamps.  so with my plan of reducing in 2011, that means using what i have on hand for things.  like my snowman atc swap.  the snow people just crack me up!  and the amuse sentiment fits perfect!

every now and then, i get a wild idea to try out for a design team. and whenever i don't make it, i swear that it will be the last time. but here i go again!! when i read that hambo stamps was having a dt call, i thought i'd give it a shot. i love their stamps. they are funny, a little quirky (kinda like me) and their mascot is the coolest pig!  this is one of the two designs i submitted.  one of the little bunnies is popped up with pop dots to give a little dimension!

i have needed some thank you cards for a while and finally got time to sit and make a few.  if you are think that it looks a little familiar, it is because i loved the layout i used for my latest birthday card, so i wanted to use it again.  i just tweaked it a little.  you can't tell so much from the picture, but the ribbon is crinkled and spritzed with glimmer spritz to give it a little shine.

wow!  i can't believe i haven't posted in a week!  ok, i guess i can.  i worked a few days and when i do that in a row, i don't get much crafting done.  i also started school again yesterday.  can you hear the enthusiasm in my post?  (yep, that's because it's not there!!)  only two classes left...so i can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!  hooray!  i did manage to get some time in my craft room yesterday and today...might be the last for a few days.  i made a set of atcs for a polar bear swap i'm hosting.  isn't he cute?

it's a h{ippity} hop in a brand new year!! welcome to 2011. i can't believe it!! but here it is. i hope that this year goes by at less of a frantic pace than twenty-ten did. i can't even remember half of it!! but i'm glad you are here, h{ippity} hoppin'! a lot of people i know are choosing a word to live by for twenty eleven. i am in a way, but not a serious as some. my word is reduce. there are so many aspects of my life that i can reduce things in...for crafting, it's going to mean a few things.  reduce the supplies i have by actually using them!  and reduce the amount i'm going to spend on new supplies, simply because of the amount i have!  reduce is a great word for other parts of my life, too. but more on that later.  be sure to visit the {ippity} blog to see the other great creations on the hop  and the new and exciting things that are in store for this year from {ippity}!!
