hard to say...

one of  the nurse practioners i work with is taking a new job out of state and moving.  how do you say goodby to someone who has had such an impact you as a professional and as a person?  she joked that she better not receive a 'hallmark' card from me and although i really wanted to buy one, i couldn't.  i didn't want to make a good-bye card, because that just sucks.  so i made this.  it doesn't even sum up what she has taught me, the times she helped me through something horrible, the times she listened to me vent over something (probably stupid), and the times she let me cry because i didn't feel like i was good enough to do what i was doing but helped me realize i was.  so i'm not saying good-bye.  i'm saying thank you.

i'll miss you, kristin.  and don't slack on the arm pt!!

so the other day i went in to joanns. the entire papercrafting/scrapbook section was on 40% off. i mean everything from paper to stamps and everything else in between. it was awesome! and i actually bought a few things. usually when everything is on sale, i can't find anything i want. not so. i got this cute hero arts stamp. i love the tree. like i need another tree. add that to the list of the "like i need another..."!

i need to make more thank you cards.  you can't say thanks enough, right?  here's one i made and yes, it is a copy of another card i made a few weeks ago that i absolutely loved. the one found here.  it's the card on a card type, with a flat card base and the white center section lifts up with a place to write a message.

i have needed some thank you cards for a while and finally got time to sit and make a few.  if you are think that it looks a little familiar, it is because i loved the layout i used for my latest birthday card, so i wanted to use it again.  i just tweaked it a little.  you can't tell so much from the picture, but the ribbon is crinkled and spritzed with glimmer spritz to give it a little shine.
