{what can you make out of this, 2}...the cards

ok, for those following along, i held a little contest and sent participants the following items. each person had to use at least part of each item and had to follow a set of rules and come up with their own card creation.

and here are the cards. they are all so great!! i'll have the judges submit their results and post the winner in a few days. stay tuned!!!

oh i'm so excited!! everyone has received the kits for the card!! and i've gotten a few cards already and they are so cute!!! i can't wait!!! if all the cards are in before the due date of july 15th, we'll start the contest earlier!!!

so a quick update. since work got in the way (why can't i just be infinitely wealthy???) i haven't sent any of the kits out yet. so i'll get them out in the next day or three.

{what can you make out of this II}

here are the rules to the contest:

1-you must use the materials in the kit you will recieve. you don't need to use all of it, but you must use at least part of each piece.

2-you can also use the following but nothing more:

• one additional embellishment
• one additional stamped image
• any saying/words to the front (this may be stamped)
• finished size must be 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
• can distressed in any way
• can use any stamp pads, markers or colored pencils
• can only use items in our current inventory - you can't go buy anything new

3-please comment to this post when you recieve your kit (book mark this page) if you don't comment and check in, you won't be allowed to participate or be judged for the prize. if you don't get your kit in a reasonable amount of time (1 week or so for u.s. and 2 weeks for those far away) please let me know!

4-all entries must be emailed to me so i can post them for judging by july 15th. if it's not to me by the 15th, you will be dq'd (that sounds so harsh!!) if you are one that uses a watermark on your image, please don't add it as it will give away your identity!!!! judging will be done by a panel of three volunteer judges. cards will be posted by letter, so the creator will remain annonymous to the judges as well as the participants.

ready for a little contest??

those of you who have been around my blog for a while, might remember this little contest i put together. i figured it's time to do another one. here's the scoop:

i will make up a 'kit' so to speak, with materials to make a card. anyone who wants to join in on the fun can. i'll send a kit to each person, they will then make a card out of the materials provided. participants will email me a picture of their card. i will assemble a panel of judes and they will have a vote. the one chosen as the winner will win a little prize pack from me.

i'll get the items together for the prize pack and post them here. i will limit this to 10-15 people, unless there is a crazy mad rush...then i'll think about adding more. so post here if you want to participate (you must comment on this post). even if you don't win, you are getting freebies to make a card with!! i'll take sign ups until saturday (or whenever 10-15 people sign up), then i'll mail you all your little kit. once everyone is signed up, i'll post the "official" rules.
