inspired...

i have an altered project for friends with flair today.  if you don't know what friends with flair is, simply it's a bunch of unity peeps showing off projects.  and there are prizes involved!  check it all out here.

so back to my altered project....have you heard about the altered paintbrush project that donna downey is doing?  she had some empty wall space and thought it would be cool to have people alter a brush to hang up. so fun! and a little intimidating. i think i ordered it as soon as i read about it. then  i got the brush and it sat. and i had no idea what to do. (not as creative with a brush as i thought!) i think of random things as i'm drifting off to sleep. i know, why do you need to know that?? because one night, as i'm drifting off to sleep, i hit me. like a ton of bricks. i nearly jumped out of bed and started working on my brush right then, but had to work the next day, so knew that wasn't an option. but as soon as i could i stated working on the brush. and i finished it. then started seeing all the AMAZING brushes that she was receiving. then started doubting mine (even though i love how it turned out)! so i held off on mailing it. then i thought, it's just as awesome as some of the others (ok, a little positive talk never hurts!), so i finally worked up the nerve to mail in my brush.  and she got it yesterday!!

Isn't it funny how some things need to just mull around in our minds for awhile? I love this! Your bird is absolutely loving that thicket he is walking in. Brilliant!

You are braver than I am, I wanted to do this from the moment I saw it, but I have been too intimidated to even try it! Yours came out beautifully and will be a wonderful addition to Donna's studio wall!

That's awesome!!!! Isn't it funny how we get our best ideas at random times. It always kills me when I'm driving and can't get right to it! LOL!
