i told you i've was getting inky yesterday.  such a good feeling!! and there's more on the agenda for tonight, since it's monday!  woot woot!  ustream party at tracy's!  but for now, here's a card i made for the current sketch challenge from the chick challenges blog.  it is a flat card where you pull the tab and reveal the writing area.  i love that it's not a typical card.

ahh...i haven't been in my sanctuary craft room much this week. but i spent a good chunk of today in it. so i'm feeling much happier about life!!

and i definitely haven't used my silhouette much.  so i played with that a little too.  i love it because i can cut out different pieces that i need to use and arrange them as i want them all at once.  don't think the other cutting machines are that savvy!!  a great way to use up scraps, too!!!  no more wasting a whole sheet of cardstock for one little cut!

i can't believe i've only had one post this week.  well i can, because work gets in the way of craftiness.  oh well...i guess it pays for it, so it has to be done.  this is the result of the monday night ustream broadcast.  a challenge was given to draw a palm tree.   i'm no artist!!  but here's my palm tree!  and anyone that knows me will realize the other challenge i faced with this art journal page!

happy monday!!  i love mondays now...because of a cool ustream crafty session each week.  if ever there was a good reason to make monday a little better, this is it!  and i've been trying to not work on mondays so i can catch the ustream broadcast.  i know it's recorded, but it's just not the same!  so i made a set of atcs today for a swap i'm hosting.  theme is 'something punny'.  and i adore this stamp.  i even used real charmin (thanks to a great suggestion by my friend sherri!)

i had an idea after the monday night ustream session with tracy  winzapfel.  i loved the flowers, but have kind of overloaded on flowers lately in my art journal.  so i figured with st patrick's day coming up, and me being irish, i'd do something along those lines.  i found this irish blessing and thought it was perfect for my journal page.

i didn't do any stamping on this, which is a first for me.  i cut all the shamrocks out with the silhouette.  i didn't have any green glimmer mist, so i made my own with reinkers and some silver paint.

it has been so nice the past few days.  bummer for me, i've been cooped up at work all day long.  but today i'm going to get a dose of vitamin d in the sun!!  not doing anything special...just getting some sunshine in my heart!  (ok, that sounded cheesy...)

you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the whole thing.  but doesn't it make you feel all groovy??  inspiration comes in the funniest places.  i went to archiver's yesterday.  i ended up with only a few pieces of patterned paper and some jenni bowlin paint dabbers (sad, i know!).  but when i got home, i pulled the ink dabbers out of the bag and it hit me that i loved the color combo.  so it led to this card.

i finally got to do a new art journal page this week.  and today is monday, so i'm guessing i'll get a heaping dose of inspiration again tonight from the helmar ustream class with tracy weinzapfel.  i love mondays!!  crazy, i know. 

and {ippity} has a new challenge for the  month.  theme is anything that flies, has wings, is in the air.  how cool that my journal page absolutely fits the theme!!

i used my silhouette to create the background template, then sprayed it with different colors of glimmer mist.  love that technique!

do you know how excited i am that it's friday??  my craft room has missed me terribly this week.  work just gets in the way of craftiness sometimes.  and because of a little major snowstorm wednesday night and a little mishap with a snow packed road, a patch of ice and a curb, i'll be spending today getting my jeep a new alignment.  instead of inking up a bunch of new rubber!!  but i did get one card made this week.  i used the feb kit of the month. i think it may be one of my favorite kits!  so go check out the rest of the friends with flair peeps over at unity.
