owly bday...

i'm having a card party today with some friends and  i needed one more card that we could make. i have a card on my shelf that my cute mom made a while ago, that i love. it's a cute layout and i totally designed this card after hers.  i'm going to try and make a bunch and be better about actually sending birthday cards to people.

beachy goodness...

it's just beachy today.  ok, not really.  but i'm dreaming.  it is friday, though.  friend with flair.  would be better if it were friends with flair hanging out on a beach day.  *sigh*  i'll have to pretend i'm with my friend andrea that went to hawaii yesterday.    but on to fwf.  i have been putting off a set of atcs for a swap suzi is throwing, themed "life's a beach".   i love this stamp from the june kit of the month.  i never quite figured out what to do with it, though.  till now.  i used the emboss resist technique and first embossed the image with clear embossing powder then sponged on different colors of ink.  a cool look with this technique.

just floating along...that's the name of the swap that this set of atcs is for.  it's been a bit rainy this week, so sometimes i feel like i've been floating along.  ok, maybe it hasn't rained that much.  but you get the picture.  i'd much rather be doing this sort of floating, however, with a big fruity cocktail!!

mummy...

i found an awesome purple for halloween.  it's concord crush from stampin up.  makes a great halloweenie shade!  also found this cute little mummy at michael's.  love the dollar stamps!!  made these for sherri's mummy atc swap.
