birthday cloud...

holy friday batman!!  don't you love when you have an idea in your head and it actually comes out better than you thought? i've been organizing my stamps (a way overdue project!) and i saw this cloud stamp from the may 2010 unity kotm.  i can't believe i have only used it maybe once!  it's so cute!  i also love this color of baker's twine.  of course, i can't think of the color off the top of my head, but it's cute! it's fwf today, so check the unity blog for more fun projects. (and a change to win some rubbery love!)

birthday cloud
stamps: unity, bella blvd+unity, ippity
cardstock: pink pirouette, elegant eggplant
ink: baja breeze, soft sky, spun sugar distress, elegant eggplant craft
embellishments:  clear embossing powder, baker's twine

while you're here, don't forget that tomorrow is the official chick challenge launch and it starts with an awesome blog hop.  and it's also national card making day.  so go get yourself a little inky!!

up and away...

remember my post last week about the wizard of oz swap i was roped into hosting?  i had the theme of  the hot air balloon, too.  here is the set of atcs i made for it.  i love this little hot air ballon!!

and remember that it is friends with flair today, being friday and all.  did you know that if you either participate in fwf or simply comment on any of the fwf participants you can win a big old bag of stamps from unity?   i was picked as a winner a couple of weeks ago.  so much fun to get them in the mail!  and since i've become somewhat of a unity addict fan, i had a few duplicates.  so i'm going to pass the good karma along to you this week.  that means not only can you win from unity, you could win from me, too!  i'll pick a random comment on saturday night to win a little bag of unity lovelies (stamps).

and...don't forget about the {ippity} challenge going on.  check this post out and you could win some {ippity} goodies, too!!

gotta love friday and free stamps!!

happy birthday cake...

who doesn't love birthday cake?  what's your favorite kind of cake?  mine is a rum cake (minus the pineapple...which causes great debate in my family!) that this little bakery in salt lake makes.  it is about the best cake in the whole world.  so what that my cake tasting is limited to those in the state of utah, pretty much!  the frosting is to die for!  here's a little birthday card i made after i finally broke into some of the cute bella blvd stamps from unity that i got for christmas.  it's a great set!!

wow...talk about an english major's nightmare of a post!!
