whimsical...

i've been playing with more paint, canvas and stamps.  i made this 5x7 canvas for someone as a christmas gift.  just what i need...another obsession hobby!  at least i have most of the supplies already!!  i also tried a cool technique.  remember a while ago i posted about making my own washi tape?  well, similar idea.  only i ran some muslin through my xyron then stamped on it.  so cool!!

are you done with the chirstmas frenzy?  i finally finished my last shopping today.  so glad!!

anything but...

i swear, if there is a class in procrastination, i'd get an a+!  what does that have to do with h{ippty} hop monday?  i should have been writing my paper last night but instead found myself in my craft room making a card so i could play along with the hop!!  i've got a case of "senior-itis" so bad!!  but in 8 days it will all be over  and i can spend as much time in my craft room (guilt free!) as i want!! have a good monday and go check out the rest of the h{ippity} hop!

miss grace...

may i present miss grace. full of style, full of elegance. probably not full of much grace. but cute none-the-less. when i decided to host a hippo swap i think i had a hippo stamp in mind for my atcs. then i ordered some stamps from river city rubber works and found this gem. how could i not use it? she's a doll!! then a moment of brilliance (well, brilliant in my mind) struck. add some of that foofie stuff that tutus are made out of. ta-da! so i went to wally's (don't judge me) to get some. and forgot to get it while i was there. then last thursday happened. and then i went to about 4 different wally's, some multiple times, in search of a skirt. and at the last one (just two days ago!), i remembered i needed the foofie stuff. and got it. it's cheap, fyi. 1/4 of a yard--which was plenty!--was only twenty four cents!! bargain! i even gave miss grace a little mani and pedi. with the glaze pen. too cute!

thread of love...

time for friends with flair friday! is it really friday already? i can't believe how fast this week has flown by (but yet how slowly at the same time). i can't believe that work gets so in the way of my crafting! but i guess if there wasn't work, there wouldn't be crafts to play with. i've done the 9-5 (ok, 8-4) gig this week at work (doing the schedule) and all i can say is i love my usual schedule of three 12 hour shifts. i realized last night that i needed to get this done so i could post in today. i had great intentions all week, but somehow it got put aside. but this weekend i hope to have craft-o-palooza in my little studio!! i paper pieced the spool of thread. this is actually an atc for a swap my friend suzi is hosting. i just haven't finished the whole set yet, like i usually take a picture of.

don't forget the rest of the blog hop starts at the {unity blog} ! thank goodness for friday!

chocolatier...

no, not chocoholic, although i am one of those..what's a chocolatier you may ask? that's what i thought the first time i heard the term. there is a cool site called crop chocolate. they have random deals on crafting/scrapbooking/stamping stuff that change ever day, sometimes many times during the day. a while back, they decided to have a design team, which they call chocolatiers. they are sent a box of goodies from crop chocolate and have to create something out of the items. i was one of the lucky ones to be accepted as a chocolatier. i received a box of goodies last week and this is my first project officially as a chocolatier. so be watching on cropchocolate.com and you may see my stuff! i case'd this from the amuse blog. there was the cutest card over there and i knew i wanted to try it. it fits perfect for the reason i made this card, which i can't reveal until the recipient receives it or it will spoil the surprise. that's why the two middle sections are blank. i'm going to add photos there. when i have given the card, i'll post it again with the pictures and the reason for sending it!
