no, not chocoholic, although i am one of those..what's a chocolatier you may ask? that's what i thought the first time i heard the term. there is a cool site called crop chocolate. they have random deals on crafting/scrapbooking/stamping stuff that change ever day, sometimes many times during the day. a while back, they decided to have a design team, which they call chocolatiers. they are sent a box of goodies from crop chocolate and have to create something out of the items. i was one of the lucky ones to be accepted as a chocolatier. i received a box of goodies last week and this is my first project officially as a chocolatier. so be watching on cropchocolate.com and you may see my stuff! i case'd this from the amuse blog. there was the cutest card over there and i knew i wanted to try it. it fits perfect for the reason i made this card, which i can't reveal until the recipient receives it or it will spoil the surprise. that's why the two middle sections are blank. i'm going to add photos there. when i have given the card, i'll post it again with the pictures and the reason for sending it!
absolutely fabulous cardstock: hot fudge-mft; soft sky-su; making memories pp ink: chocolate chip embellishments: making memories: button brads, flowers, rub ons; stamping bella ribbon tools: big shot, nestabilities labels 1
sometimes i think ice cream should be its own food group. except vanilla. which is just a waste of time. ice cream is made out of milk, so that's good for you, right? oh wait...there's the cream part... i love this ice cream cone stamp from kim hughes at chf. (that's cornish heritage farms, not congestive heart failure for all my work friends!) it's a great stamp to paper piece with, which is what i did. then i added a little glossy gloss to the cherry on top! and some sprinkles of course.
ice cream, ice cream stamps: kim hughes, purple onion, river city rubber works cardstock: melon mambo, creamy caramel, heidi grace pp ink: melon mambo, frost white all purpose ink-tsukineko embellishments: prismacolor markers, glossy accents
so i finally feel like a grown up. for the first time in my adult life, i have a matching bedroom. no more pieced together collections. no make shift nightstands from an old microwave cart or bookcase. no more laundry baskets full of clothes. 5 pieces that actually match. and are so cool. and thank goodness it all fits in the bedroom. it's amazing how different things look on a showroom floor than when it gets put into a room. but it fits, and i love it all!! can't wait to go to sleep and see what difference a nice mattress makes! i'm still in sticker shock at the amount it all cost. and for how much bedding is. so i skipped the whole matching everything and got a new duvet cover from ikea. works for me!!
the whole time while i was making this set of atcs, i was singing "make a little birdhouse in your soul" by they might be giants. i found this paper (lime rickey by basic grey) and bought only one piece, not really sure why, since it's so stinking cute! i used fun flock on the trees and noticed the holes in where i used the glue pen after i put the flock on. but i think they add a little touch of character to the atc! the theme is birdhouses.
birdie diggs stamps: studio g, chicken girl design cardstock: green galore, basic grey pp ink: onyx black, vintage sepia embellishments: fun flock, prismacolor markers
my friend leeann wanted to buy some cards. she choose the celebrate sunshine atc that i made. i simply put it on a card base rather than reinventing the wheel. i think it makes the card more elegant looking with the simple white background.
i joined a robot swap with my friend chris. why? i have no idea. that's what i've been asking myself the past week or so while trying to figure out what to do. i found this cute sprockets paper at michael's and it made me think of the old snl sprockets routine. "we shall dance." but of course i couldn't figure out how to make that work. so this is what i came up with.
sprockets stamps: we r memory keepers, imaginisce cardstock: kiwi kiss, tangerine tango, recollections pp ink: kiwi kiss, tangerine tango, basic black craft ink embellishments: clear embossing powder
for some reason, i couldn't sleep this morning, and was up at 7am (on my day off!). so i hit my craft room early and got inky making cards. i've made so many atcs lately, that i had to get my mind working on something bigger than 3 1/2 x 2 1/2! i made a few of these for a lady at work who wanted some eastery cards.

i saw this cute stamp today at robert's (lss) and envisioned some cute rhinestones added for some bling. then i remembered i had this cute glitter stack from die cuts with a view that i haven't used in ages. and viola. my atcs for the bling swap i'm hosting!
bling birdie stamps: imaginisce cardstock: pale plum, die cuts with a view pp ink: perfect plum, onyx black embellishments: prismacolor markers, kaiser rhinestones
sometimes there is nothing better than a good soak in a hot tubbie full of bubbles. especially after a long day at work or a cold winter day. yesterday was the cold day. even though it's the middle of march, there was a freaking blizzard today! so i created this atc wishing that the calgon would take me away! i'm sad you can't see in the picture the glaze pen on the bubbles...makes them look more realistic.
take me away! stamps: my favorite things, stampin up cardstock: purely pomegranate, cloud 9 pp ink: purely pomegranate, onyx black embellishments: prismacolor markers, glaze pen font: snf playground blacktop
how i want to spend my summer...that is the theme of patty's summer circle journal. i decided that how i want to spend my summer and how i actually will spend my summer are probably going to be two very different ways. so i created this entry accordingly!!

let me start this post off by saying i'm am so not a girlie girl. i don't even own a dress. i've never had high heels. i don't even wear makeup (dressing up to me is khaki's and lip gloss). but i do adore this new stamp set from dear lizzy+american crafts. it's the cutest thing ever. i used it to make the "anything pink" themed atcs for suzi's swap. i just can't get enough of the cute little set of flags!
who doesn't love monkeys? i have a few of these little guys. luckily, my stamping friends do too! suzi hosted a swap using monkeys. i'm so ready for summer and sun so i thought i'd use my baseball changito monkey for the swap. play ball!!
play ball stamps: stampendous cardstock: kraft-su; candy apple-bazzill; three bugs in a rug pp ink: night of navy, onyx black embellishments: prismacolor markers tools: corner chomper
it hasn't been good kite flying weather here (it snowed yesterday!) so i have to live vicariously through my stamping. this set of atcs is for chris's tree themed swap. i love these trees from whimsie doodles. they are part of a digital stamp set. and i love this little owl (big shocker, i know) from stampin up. the kite's cute too!
fly a kite stamps: stampin up, kim hughes-chf digi stamps: whimsie doodles cardstock: hot fudge-mft; old olive-su ink: old olive, baja breeze, onyx black embellishments: prismacolor markers
for a day, that is! i've got irish in me. my grandfather was from donegal. i would love to go there someday. i've been to dublin and cork and it was so neat!! this is an atc for an irish themed swap i'm hosting. i used a technique i haven't used very often, but it works so well. i inked the sentiment with versamark, then inked it again with certainly celery. this way, you can emboss an image using any color and clear embossing powder. it's awesome!
i love that as i'm writing this blog post, it's 6pm and the sun is just beginning to set. and when i get to work in the morning (in about 12 1/2 hours), the sun will just be coming up. know what that means? spring is coming!! this card fits into the theme of spring. i made a dozen of these for someone at work (for her card club, isn't that a hoot?)
hello spring stamps: heidi grace, maryse carrier, stampin up, purple onion, paper salon cardstock: certainly celery, stampin up pp ink: baja breeze, old olive, so saffron, wild wasabi, onyx black embellishments: prima flowers, liquid pearls, prismacolor markers
