splish splash...

watch out...here comes another one! i think this little girl is so stinking cute! i saw the little bubble bubbles (under the buttons!) and knew i had to use this for my other atc swap using buttons.

little house...

so there was a discussion over at the shack about embellies we don't use that often. buttons came up as one of those things. i have tons of them. like ribbon, i buy them often and rarely use them. but they are so cute! so i issued a challenge of sorts. i'm hosting two different swaps (because that many people wanted to play!) where we have to make an atc and use buttons. here's how my first one turned out. i also used digistamps and regular stamps again. i love them both!

don't faint...it's a card...

don't faint! i actually made some cards today! i just love this digistamp from heather ellis and i made some atcs a few weeks ago that i thought were cute. so it inspired me to make some cards! the sentiment inside says "friends come in all shapes and sizes"

inchie or 6...

inchies. know what they are? they are a work of art that is 1 inch by 1 inch. i think i've posted about them before. no, i'm sure i've posted about them before. whatever. point is, i made something with some. jennifer posted a cute card on her blog using inchies and i loved how it looked. so i tried it with an atc. it is perfect for atc size. six inchies fit perfectly!! and i adore this flopsey. who wouldn't? a cute flopsey and a pie? get out!! i feel a swap coming on!!

anywhere but here...

i'm sure i'm not the only one that can relate to this atc. i hate ironing. that's why i don't think i own anything that requires being ironed. kerry does, on the other hand. but he doesn't mind doing it...or he would rather do it himself than listen to me whine about doing it!! anyhoo...this is for merry's riley atc swap. the sentiment is from my favorite things, twisted too set. i love it!! i debated between the 'anywhere but here' or 'talk dirty to me'. both were applicable!

ink: onyx black, cranberry crisp

two pots...

ok, i branched out on this atc and tried a new technique.  amy from the shack posted a link to this tutorial and i thought i'd give it a shot.  it took a little experimenting, but i finally figured it out.  i {heart} this flopsey set.  it is so cute!  and i hope this works ok for the swap that my fellow shackie, kristy, from australia is hosting.  the theme is 'emotions' so i figured this is a very real emotion!

whoot whoot...

here is another hybrid stamped atc. my love for owls is getting right up there with my love for penguins! and i am totally loving the digi stamps. it's so nice to reposition them however you need them and make them bigger or smaller to fit your project. and then there's the instant gratification of downloading them as soon as you buy them! this is for my owl themed swap.

tropical paradise...

i've mentioned before my love of penguins. they are adorable. in any shape or form. i'm hosting a perky penguin atc swap and this i my creation for it. i just can't stand how cute this penguin is! i love the shell bikini top!!

stamps: river city rubber works, studio g, inkadinkadoo
cardstock: cool caribbean, su pp
ink: river rock, soft sky-su; majestic blue, vintage sepia, onyx black-versafine
embellishments: prismacolor markers

guess what?

this is an atc i made with traditional rubber stamps and digi stamps. i think the buzzword is "hybrid stamping". whatever it is, i like both versions. the digi stamp is by heather ellis, who also designs for one of my favorite stamp companies, my favorite things. this stamp is from her 'pure innocence' set. i made these atcs for my "a little birdie told me..." then i realized there is only a tiny bird on it, but it fits so well!!

guess what?

2010 coaster calendar...

last year i had a swap where we made a monthly calendar with coasters (it's here). i was asked it i was going to host another one for 2010 so i figured why not! i'm glad i did. it turned out amazing (as usual...everyone is awesome!). here is the calendar.

breast cancer riley...

there is a set of stamps featuring a little moose named riley. a whole line of rileys in different character, seasons and careers. this little riley is ribbon riley. i suppose he could be supporting whatever cause uses a ribbon. i made him be supporting breast cancer. since i'm hosting a breast cancer awareness atc swap over at the shack. he's such a cute little moose. i've got a ton of swaps coming up, so hopefully i'll be posting a lot in the next little while. stay tuned!

stamps: riley (?)
cardstock: pink pirouette, rose red, melon mambo
ink: onyx black, rose red
embellishments: prismacolor markers, ribbon-su, cb embossing folder, stickles

ps i thought it needed some bling so i added stickles to the ribbon!

markers...

i got a slew of new prismacolor markers for christmas. (no, i haven't jumped on the copic marker bandwagon...i love my prismacolors!) i did have the ones prior to christmas stored in the blue boxes on top of the white shelves. but since i pretty much doubled the number i have, i had to figure out a different method for storing them! thank goodness for chipboard! i had some pretty heavy thick chipboard that i cut down and made pseudo dividers out of them. so far, it's working pretty well! the other blue hold has my bic mark it markers (which i love just about as much!) and the little tin pail has my sharpies. i have a thing for markers!! and as you can see from the little holder, i'm in desperate need of putting my atcs away!!

back in the craft room...

ahhh...a new year, new swaps! i just signed up to host 5 new atcs swaps over at the shack. i must be crazy. not only am i hosting about a dozen, not counting my 6 month summer circle journal swap, i'm also in about a dozen more. geeze. what was i thinking? i got a jump on the a few that are coming up soon today. both are being hosted by chris. the first one is a cute critter theme. i have this cute set of stamps from my favorite things and i was looking at them the other day and thought it would be cute for this theme.

the other swap theme was feathered friends. i went through all my stamps that could fit this theme and nothing was really jumping out at me. then i found this cute stamp by maryse carrier (oh how i wish she was still making new stamps!) and i just wanted to use it.
